Hello, I’m Janek - Senior Operations Manager Infosys BPO Poland.  
I began my work in our Centre in March 2004 as an Accountant in the General Ledger Department. At first I participated in the migration of a client’s services from Dublin to Łódź and worked for the client’s organizations from Finland and Sweden.

In April 2005 I was promoted to the position of a Team Leader of one of the teams that handled the Benelux region. For the next two years I also supported the team responsible for the Central Europe and I carried out the migration of a client’s factory in Hungary. This migration allowed me to gain better knowledge of financial and accounting processes characteristic for a big production unit.

Another stage in my career was the role of the Deputy Manager of the GL Department. My main duties at this stage included co-managing the work of the 150-person department, supervising internal reporting, developing and implementing internal procedures and managing projects that facilitated the work of the department. My positions of team leader and deputy manager gave me an opportunity to stay in a close contact with clients. That allowed me to improve my negotiating skills and abilities to solve problems. The work with other managers and department heads gave me the opportunity to look at the company from a broader perspective and to participate in taking significant decisions for my department and the whole company.

After working for five years in the General Ledger Department I decided to take another challenge which was a reassignment to the Infosys Centre in Brno where I worked for 6 months as the Department Manager for one of the clients of that Centre. I learned how to  function in a completely new international environment.

Coming back to the Lodz Center I took the position of the Manager of the Business Development and Financial Analysis Department. Recently I've been promoted to the function of Senior Operations Manager.

For 8 years of my work for the centre I could learn new things every day. This is one of the biggest advantages of working in our company. Another one is the possibility of cooperating and mixing with many people who are good friends and share common goals and challenges. All this creates a really great atmosphere at work that bases on team work.
