Marcin from Lodz Center

My name is Marcin. I have been working in Infosys BPO Poland for 9 years. At present, I’m holding the position of Operational Manager in the General Ledger Department providing services to one of the biggest clients of the Center. I began my adventure with Infosys BPO (previously Philips SSC) in September 2003 when, as an accountant together with a group of twenty other people, I took part in one of the first migrations of accounting processes from the client’s local branch to the centre in Łódź. Each assigned task was an interesting challenge and the next step in my career path. The promotion to the Team Leader gave me the chance to realize my ambitions in the management area. I remember this period as particularly interesting. I learned, practically from the very beginning and with great support from the organization, how to competently manage people and how to effectively lead a team to achieve the planned objectives. As a next step, I was trained for Black Belt and had an opportunity to lead strategic Six Sigma process optimization projects for the Lodz Center.  I gained yet another interesting professional experience as the Deputy Manager of the Debt and Banking Department. At present, as the Operational Manager of the General Ledger Department, I manage the work of 150 people and lead the department with a large diversity of financial and accounting processes. What I value most is a wonderful atmosphere, an opportunity to work together with a young, loyal and motivated team, and last but not least – the dynamic and interesting work in the international environment. After work, I always try to spend my free time with my family and friends. I love spending my free time actively, fully convinced that there is a perfect harmony between my private life and professional tasks.
